STX Masters

Last weekend, Constant was at the STX Masters near Brussels, in Belgium, where he obtained nice results.

Constant and Compadre van de Helle performed a double clear in Thursday’s 1m45 two phases specual, with a 31.28 sec. time for the second phase. The only one who did better was Beezie Madden and Con Taggio, who won the class. Constant started the competition with a nice second place.

On Friday, Constant and Kid Pleasure d’Asschaut (For Pleasure x Nonstop) started in the Future Stars competition, a two phase 1m35 to 1m40 class for 7- and 8-year-old horses, along with 63 other combinations. 16 were qualified, but Constant and “Kid” were the fastest: with two flawless rounds in a 24.29 sec. time, our pair was over one second faster than Jérôme Guéry (second place with Jupiter VG, 25.37 sec.) and took the victory. The third place was for Anthony Wellens (Domenco, 26.01 sec.).

Constant will compete in Belgium again this week and will take Bugano de l’Abbaye, Jilbert van ’t Ruytershof and Hamlet van de Donkhoeve to Lier.
